About Briggs Motley Promotions

It started with the idea of serving lunch at a local craft show to have a little spending money. Sherrie Thein of Clara City and Janine Hubbard of Raymond have gone from serving that first lunch to organizing Briggs Motley & Associates LLC to manage many craft shows across the state of Minnesota. They organize an arts and craft show in Minnesota communities including booth rentals and all advertising and promotion.

Their shows are typically host to 200 exhibitors and 1,000 plus visitors. Dish towels, refrigerator magnets, crocheted items and a few wood pieces were among the early crafts. Although they still see some of these, today's crafters have "refined their works". Now it is typical to see jewelry, silver work, fabric art, clothing, and more.

The arts and craft show in Minnesota has transitioned from people seeking extra pocket money to those in it full time. Crafters come from the 5-state area plus we have hosted vendors from as far away as Florida and Colorado.  This has been a great business adventure over the span of 35 years, that we still continue to enjoy and build upon.

Planning craft shows involves "jurying" entries in order to create a wide variety of arts and crafts. 1,200 - 1,500 applications arrive for each show with booths filled months ahead of the scheduled show date.

Greetings! After 38 years Co-Owner of Briggs Motley and Associates, Chris Volz has retired and has sold me her half of the business. I am very excited to be the new Co-Owner with my mother Sherron Thein. I am no new comer to the craft show business. As I have spent most of my life watching them build their business and of course working at the various shows. I look forward to an exciting new year and working with you for years to come. Janine Hubbard
